Residence Inn by Marriott Austin-University Area

I was bummed about not being able to go with IHG due to availability, but ended up staying here and this location made me start using Marriot hotels more. Staff was phenomenal, rooms were GREAT, the lounging areas are relaxing, the breakfast is great, the guy with the ponytail was super helpful and definitely added the the pros of staying here due to the resourcefulness. The location is also very close to restaurants and most importantly near an HEB, are was safe as well and well kept. 11/10

This is a great hotel. Staff was always friendly and helpful. The free breakfast has many options. Only complaint was that the water would not get hot. It would get Luke warm but not hot for a hot shower.

This place felt like a home away from home after my first night. Ended up staying longer than I had to because I felt so welcomed. The best thing about this place is the staff. Debbie and Miriam were super accommodating and friendly. They helped me a lot throughout my stay. Definitely recommend this place if you value a friendly community in a nice area. Rooms were clean but some things could be upgraded. Overall good price for service and quality.

Perfect spot since we had family in the Dell's children's hospital. Be warned that the area is really shady as there are a lot of people begging for money in the parking lot. I was approached twice in the 2 days I was there. Other than that, the staff are nice, the rooms are spacious and the breakfast was great. Would recommend staying here, just be on your guard in this neighborhood

Not spotless, but darn good by design. Big rooms, nice kitchens, comfy beds, very good breakfasts. Tiny shower/toilet closet apparently hard to clean, but big living/sleeping areas appreciated.

Jeramia and Debbie working the front desk both went above and beyond. They made me feel very welcome and cared for. They also were such warm and positive energy to be greeted with after a very long work event. Room 309 felt like a tiny home and had all the amenities I could possibly need. Full kitchen, sofa, office space, comfortable bed, extra blankets for the cold, and excellent shower pressure. Breakfast served until 10am. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Exceeded expectations. We stayed here to be near Saint David's. We had a room on the third floor with a city view and it was quiet. The shower was hot and powerful. Enjoyed breakfast each day, especially the oatmeal with fun and healthy toppings, and hot eggs. Fresh pancakes/waffles and bacon could have improved it. Having the Sprouts grocery so close was a lifesaver, we stopped in daily for grab and go lunch and drinks. All in all they took good care of us, would stay here again for any future visits to Austin.

The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was friendly. But there's no real indication on where the front door is. This building looks like an old dormitory or something. It was weird. There was also mud on the floor and in the elevator, and the lawn was pretty shaggy. But it definitely wasn't a bad stay because of those things.
